Dress Code

Except on occasions where smart casual dress is permitted, Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie, Ladies are to wear tailored trousers, skirts or dresses. Members and their guests residing in the Club or engaging in sporting activities may dress appropriately when entering or leaving the Club.

Opening Hours

The Club’s reception is open from 8.30am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday and 5.00pm till 9.00pm on Saturday. A Caretaker is on the premises and is available when reception is closed.

Club Closure

The Commonwealth Club dining facilities are closed on public holidays including Canberra Day and for 2 weeks over the Christmas / New Year period. Accommodation is available throughout the year.

Reciprocal Guests

Reciprocal Guests are charged a visitors fee of 10% on the total of their account.

BUSINESS CENTRE

Broadband Internet and office facilities are available for guests and Members.

Drycleaning & Laundry

Drycleaning and laundry facilities are available for guests staying at the Club.

Credit cards

Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa and BPay are all accepted at The Commonwealth Club.

Children

Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted in the Club unless otherwise approved by the Secretary.
